The Water Lily Bloom of Manappally
"Water lilies have bloomed in the paddy fields of Manappally block in Udayanapuram Grama Panchayat. Special facilities have been arranged for tourists to enjoy the scenic view of the blooming water lilies across nearly 2 acres of the field.The water lilies started blooming by June, and this blossom season will continue until the end of September, when the farming season begins. Known as 'Upper Kuttanad,' the Manappally paddy field is a vast expanse spreading over nearly 240 acres.
Although water lilies have bloomed here for decades, it is this year that such an abundance of flowers has been seen."
